Hello Jenny and Patrick,

I know you hear this ALOT ... but i just love your blogs. I make it a point of reading it and then telling my dad all about it.

Every blog of yours makes us see things that we don't realize have so much meaning to it. Thankyou for educating us.

Great description - I never knew the depths of it so well. I think it is a great loss that namaste is slowly being replaced with "Hi" and most people only use namaste gesture in yoga classes or when they visit a temple.

Thanks, Bhumika!

Dawn, thanks for visiting and your nice comment. Leading tours is actually something Patrick and I are very interested in doing in the future, so we'll keep you posted! First agenda is finishing our book, which visually and functionally, will be a tour of sorts. The book is organized by our travels, each city or village being a section. It will also include maps of how to meet these friends of ours and travel tips. The book feels much more like a journal, very experience-based.

Also, upon our site expansion (this is a temporary design), we'll have a travel section that includes a forum on traveling in Nepal and India (a place for everyone to share and benefit from), as well as lots of advice from things we learned and encountered. India+Nepal can be challenging to travel in, but the more you learn and connections you make with locals changes all that. Hope that helps...

Hope to see you here again!

Greetings Jenny and Patrick,
I love your blog and really enjoyed this post on Namasté and the customs surrounding it. I was wondering if you two might be hosting Chai Pilgrimage for one or two visitors where you would escort and educate on a trip through India and Nepal - like your pilgrimage? I would love to travel to these lands and meet some of these wonderful souls you have shared here.

Many thanks to you both for your openness and gentle spirits.
Namasté

hi Bhumika, so glad you liked the post! although we do collaborate on everything with this blog/book, this is Patrick's insightful interpretation of Namaste. (at the top of each post is one of our names, so you know wrote the post/whose voice it is.) while he does the majority of writing, i do the visuals. and we both help each other! :)

Jenny, this is such a wonderful insight. I always uttered the word but have come to know of its complete meaning now, thanks to this post. Thank you so much for such a b'ful description :)
